It goes by many names, beachfill, beach nourishment, beach replenishment, dredge and fill, beach protection, or storm damage reduction. But whatever you call it these types of projects are the work of the US Army Corps of Engineers used to "control erosion", "protect property", and "restore" America's beaches.
